San Francisco considers limitations on traffic stops

According to KTVU News, San Francisco considers limiting the traffic stops for minor infractions. The San Francisco Police Commission will discuss "pretext stops" or minor traffic offenses that some say are used to humiliate people of color. Most police officers claim they are simply enforcing the law, while others claim traffic stops are intended to target Black and Brown persons. San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott said the new rule is being developed in collaboration with the police commission and the Department of Police Accountability.
